Job summary

Sysco Northeast RDC is seeking a Transportation Supervisor to support the transportation manager in supervising delivery and backhaul activities, train staff, ensure regulatory compliance, and promote safety and security of the department.

You will oversee daily transport operations, align schedules, review performance, maintain logs, and coordinate with warehouse and customer service to resolve delivery issues, while coaching associates and applying company policies.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations, DOT rules and procedures.
• Experience applying standard operating procedures and preferred work methods.
• Competency with spreadsheet and word processing software.

Responsibilities

• Supervise daily work and safety of transportation associates.
• Ensure compliance with DOT/OSHA and keep electronic logs current.
• Manage labor hours and supplies within budget; prepare work schedules.
• Assist training and cross-training of associates; support asset utilization.
