Job summary

Sysco Northeast RDC in Little Rock is seeking a Transportation Supervisor who supports the transportation manager in supervising delivery and backhaul activities, trains staff, and promotes safety and regulatory compliance.

The role involves coordinating schedules, managing budgets, ensuring DOT and safety compliance, and collaborating with warehouse and customer service teams to resolve issues.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; or equivalent combination.
• 2-4 years of transportation experience and/or training.
• Class A CDL preferred but not required.
• Certificate of DOT regulations training preferred.
• Knowledge of FMCSA, DOT rules and SOPs; proficient with standard software.

Responsibilities

• Supervises daily work and safety of transportation associates per SOPs and safety standards.
• Ensures DOT, OSHA compliance and accurate electronic logging.
• Prepares work schedules and manages labor hours within budget.
• Trains new associates and cross-trains existing staff.
• Directs asset utilization and coordinates repairs with other departments.
• Reviews delivery productivity and suggests efficiency and cost reductions.
• Interprets and enforces company policies, including food safety and recordkeeping.
• Collaborates with warehouse and customer service to resolve delivery issues.
