Job summary

Cardinal Health is seeking a Senior Transportation Leader to oversee a team delivering optimized inbound and outbound logistics for 3PL customers. You will lead cross-functional initiatives, model costs, and drive fleet and routing improvements to enable reliable, cost-efficient service.

Responsibilities include collaborating with Legal, Finance, Supply Chain Planning, Sales, Systems, and the 3PL team to translate analytics into actionable plans for enterprise-wide improvements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, logistics, industrial engineering, or a related field preferred.
• Strong foundational knowledge of domestic transportation modes, regulations, and warehousing operations.
• Excellent business writing and communication skills, with the ability to present data to technical and non-technical audiences.

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and manage a team of transportation executives.
• Identify opportunities to improve 3PL logistics capabilities for customers.
• Optimize routing, location, and carrier strategies.
• Design and maintain customer solutions delivering mutual value.
• Conduct cost-to-serve and fleet equipment analyses.
• Support account management on regular business calls and reviews.
• Lead transportation cost modeling and support customer contracts.
