Job summary

Cardinal Health is seeking a senior transportation leader to drive analytics and strategic initiatives across inbound and outbound lanes for distribution centers. You will mentor a team, optimize routing and carrier strategies, and design cost-to-serve analyses to inform negotiations and service improvements.

The role requires 8+ years in transportation analytics, strong data modeling, and proficiency in Power BI/Tableau.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, logistics, or related field.
• 8+ years in transportation analytics, network design, or data modeling.
• Knowledge of domestic transportation modes, regulations, and warehousing operations.
• Proficiency in Power BI and Tableau.
• Strong written and verbal communication; ability to present data clearly.
• Travel expected about 10%.

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and manage a team of transportation executives overseeing day-to-day operations.
• Identify opportunities to improve logistics capabilities and service for 3PL customers.
• Optimize routing, location, and carrier strategies across the broader team.
• Design and maintain customer solutions delivering mutual value.
• Conduct cost-to-serve and fleet equipment analysis to support decisions.
• Support Account Management on regular business calls to review strategies.
• Lead transportation cost modeling and support contract negotiations.
• Develop and operationalize new logistics capabilities via standardized processes.
