Job summary
Cardinal Health is seeking a Senior Transportation Manager to lead a team optimizing inbound and outbound transportation for Cardinal Health Distribution Centers and 3PL partnerships. Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Logistics, Industrial Engineering, or a related field preferred.
- 8+ years of experience in transportation analytics, network design, or data modeling preferred.
- Strong knowledge of domestic transportation modes, regulations, and warehousing operations.
- Proficiency in Power BI and Tableau for data visualization.
- Advanced quantitative and analytical skills including regression modeling and optimization.
Responsibilities
- Lead, mentor, and manage a team of transportation executives overseeing day-to-day operations.
- Identify and assess opportunities to improve logistics capabilities and service optimization for 3PL customers.
- Optimize routing, location, and carrier strategies with cross-functional teams.
- Design and implement customer solutions delivering mutual value.
- Conduct cost-to-serve and fleet equipment analysis to support strategic decisions.
- Support Account Management on regular business calls and reviews.
- Lead transportation cost modeling and support customer contract negotiations.
- Develop new logistics capabilities through standardized processes.
- Build strong cross-enterprise relationships to inform decisions.
- Translate analytics into actionable insights for stakeholders and leadership.
- Ensure feasibility of proposed solutions with real-world capabilities.
