Job summary

Werner Enterprises in Texas is seeking a fleet supervisor to build and maintain driver relationships, addressing needs such as home time, payroll, and equipment issues. You will partner with Dedicated and Associate Logistics Managers to optimize loads based on origin, destination, freight type, miles, and stops.

You will interface with billing, safety, payroll, fuel, maintenance, and other departments to keep a full board of qualified drivers, while ensuring timely attendance and compliance with

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Admin, Marketing or Transportation/Logistics preferred.
• Six months to one year of supervisory experience preferred.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to operate a computer terminal and satellite communications system.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain driver relationships, addressing needs such as home time, payroll, and equipment issues.
• Partner with Dedicated and Associate Logistics Managers to optimize driver loads based on origin, destination, freight type, miles, and stops.
• Understand and adhere to customer dynamics and service expectations to improve value for the Customer and Werner.
• Interface with billing, vans, customer service, risk, safety, payroll, fuel, maintenance, and external vendors.
• Work with the Dedicated Logistics Manager/Operations Manager to fill and maintain a full board of drivers.
• Perform related duties as assigned by the Dedicated Logistics Manager.
• Attend shifts timely and consistently as scheduled.
