Job summary

Sysco in Denver seeks a Transportation Supervisor to support the transportation manager in supervising delivery and backhauls. You will train associates, enforce safety and compliance with DOT/OSHA, and promote efficient operations across routes and customer service teams.

You will monitor logs, schedules, and productivity, help plan labor hours, coordinate with warehouses and customer service, and participate in incident investigations and process improvements to deliver safe, reliable service.

Qualifications

• 2-4 years of transportation experience and/or training.
• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• CDL Class A preferred but not required.
• Certificate of DOT regulations training preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervise transportation associates and ensure SOP adherence.
• Monitor compliance with DOT/OSHA and ensure logs are current.
• Oversee labor hours and consumables within budget.
• Prepare work schedules and shifts as needed.
• Assist with training of new associates, including cross-training.
• Direct proper selection and utilization of company assets in delivery.
• Coordinate required repairs with proper departments.
• Review delivery functions and productivity reporting; suggest efficiency ideas.
• Interpret and enforce company policies including food safety, DOT, record keeping.
