Job summary

Sysco Northeast Rdc is seeking a Transportation Supervisor to ensure efficient and timely product delivery. You will monitor driver performance, maintain equipment records, and manage payroll and invoices in a warehouse office environment.

Ideal candidates have 5–8 years in transportation supervision, strong communication skills, and solid knowledge of DOT rules. This role requires a CDL and involves coordinating routes and personnel on site in Denver.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; a 4-year degree is preferred.
• 5–8 years of transportation supervisor experience; 4 years of transportation experience also required.
• Strong employee relations and clear telephone communication with vendors, shippers, customers and staff.
• Proficient in DOT regulations and compliance.
• Experience with route planning, payroll, and vendor invoicing processes.

Responsibilities

• Monitor driver performance and use trip master controls to improve efficiency.
• Maintain records for driver pay, equipment maintenance and performance.
• Review logs and paperwork for accuracy and policy compliance.
• Ensure safe equipment operation and minimize breakdowns.
• Plan routes, adjust routing for optimal efficiency.
• Hire, train, direct, and discipline transportation personnel.
• Schedule assignments and process weekly payroll.
• Verify vendor invoices and process accounts payable vouchers.
• Track mileage, fuel costs, and fuel economy; monitor expenses.
• Ensure DOT requirements are met and reviewed for compliance.
• Review backhauls to maintain profitability.
