Job summary

Sysco is seeking an experienced transportation supervisor to oversee delivery and backhaul operations. You will train and supervise deployment of transportation staff, ensure regulatory compliance, and promote safety across the department.

The role requires knowledge of DOT/OSHA regulations, SOP adherence, and collaboration with warehouse and customer service teams. Strong leadership and problem solving are essential to optimize delivery operations and costs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; college degree preferred.
• 2–4 years of transportation experience and/or training.
• Class A Commercial Driver’s License preferred but not required; DOT regulations training a plus.

Responsibilities

• Supervise daily transportation operations and ensure safety and compliance with SOPs and food safety standards.
• Ensure compliance with DOT, OSHA, and other regulatory requirements.
• Monitor labor hours and consumables within budget; plan schedules and shifts.
