Job summary

HDR is seeking a Transportation Data Steward Leader embedded in the Transportation Business Group to define, align, and sustain data practices across disciplines. You will coordinate SMEs and technical authorities to enable data reuse for better project delivery and analytics.

Role emphasizes governance, data definitions, and collaboration within HDR’s employee-owned culture, with an impact on decisions, data reuse, and streamlined workflows.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in architecture, engineering, data science, business, computer science, or related discipline.
• A minimum of 10 years of experience in the Resources engineering industry.
• Experience in developing and managing diverse teams.
• Ability to work cooperatively with leaders, operations managers and marketing managers.
• Commitment to quality and HDR values.
• Active participant in HDR’s employee-owned culture.

Responsibilities

• Define technical standards across the Transportation Business Group and align with enterprise expectations.
• Develop and maintain business-aligned data definitions to support data models, reporting, automation, and AI use cases.
• Build alignment around data processes, priority, and expected use through your network of SMEs.
• Promote responsible data use, data quality, and data reuse across teams.
• Govern externally sourced datasets—access, approvals, inventory, storage, lifecycle.
