Job summary

HDR is seeking a Transportation Data Steward embedded in the Transportation Business Group to define and govern data used across HDR’s transportation disciplines. This leadership role coordinates across SMEs and technical authorities, enabling consistent data definitions, reuse, and improved project delivery.

The position emphasizes collaboration, governance, and strategic leadership, not IT-only tasks. It supports enterprise data initiatives, analytics, automation, and AI within HDR’s

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent related experience.
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in the Resources engineering industry.
• Experience in development and management of diverse teams.
• Ability to work cooperatively with other leaders, operations managers, technical directors and marketing managers.
• Committed to HDR values and employee-owned culture.

Responsibilities

• Establish and lead a transportation data governance network.
• Define data definitions for engineering and technical terms to support data models and AI use cases.
• Coordinate with SMEs and technical authorities to align data practices.
• Promote responsible use of data including access and quality.
• Lead change management to drive adoption of data standards and tools.
