Job summary

HDR is seeking a Transportation Data Steward to define how data is captured, structured, governed, and reused across projects. This leadership role coordinates subject matter experts and technical authorities within the Transportation BG to enable consistent business decisions and data reuse across HDR’s transportation initiatives.

Embedded in the Transportation Business Group, this role emphasizes enablement, collaboration, and driving adoption of data standards and tools across HDR’s

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in architecture, engineering, data science, business, computer science, or related discipline or equivalent related experience.
• A minimum of 10 years of experience in the Resources engineering industry.
• Experienced in development and management of diverse teams.
• Ability to work cooperatively with other leaders, operations managers, technical directors and marketing managers.

Responsibilities

• Establish and coordinate a network of SME expertise across the Transportation BG to define technical standards and align with enterprise expectations.
• Develop and maintain business-aligned data definitions that support structured data models, reporting, automation, and AI use cases.
• Promote data practices and consensus around data workflows, priority and usage across domains.
• Lead change management to drive adoption of data standards and tools across the Transportation BG.
• Collaborate with Enterprise Data Science and Data Operations staff to enable reuse and reliability of data.
