Job summary

CDM Smith is seeking a Client Service Leader for the Pennsylvania Transportation practice to drive strategy, sales and client service. You will lead the development of business plans, coordinate cross-disciplinary teams, and represent CDM Smith on transportation boards and organizations, based in Pittsburgh or Harrisburg.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required or equivalent experience.
• 12 years of related experience.
• Domestic and/or international travel may be required.
• Equivalent additional directly related experience considered in lieu of a degree.
• PE or RA license preferred.
• Experience managing and winning transportation projects with SEPTA, PRT, PA Turnpike, PennDOT and/or airport services preferred.
• Experience in business development, helping with proposals and presenting to transit clients preferred.
• Established relationships within regional transportation and transit community.
• Strong communication, networking and team-building skills.

Responsibilities

• Plan and lead the Pennsylvania transportation market strategies and relationships with key decision-makers and senior leaders.
• Develop and manage client teams for strategic capture plans, proposals, and presentations.
• Lead sales activities and pursue opportunities with client service teams to develop winning strategies.
• Collaborate with transportation leadership to achieve revenue and profitability targets.
• Implement procedures to improve client satisfaction and opportunities for repeat business through execution and lessons learned.
• Be a key member of the strategy team promoting growth in Pennsylvania and supporting North Group initiatives.
• Serve as technical or project lead on large, strategic projects when needed.
• Participate in professional societies and engage with client communities.
• Demonstrate leadership internally and externally.
