Job summary

Ryder System, Inc. is seeking a Continuous Improvement Engineer to apply data-driven CI methods across the operation, driving safety, quality, delivery, and cost improvements.

Qualifications

• Transportation experience and knowledge (transportation modeling, route optimization, hours of service, etc.) (REQUIRED)
• Analytic mindset and experience maintaining Power BI dashboards (REQUIRED)
• Proficiency in Excel and Power BI (REQUIRED)
• Experience with Appian Direct Route or other transportation modeling software (PREFERRED)

Responsibilities

• Collects data and performs statistical analysis; maps and documents processes; identifies process gaps and drives continuous improvement.
• Manages CI and steady-state engineering projects to improve business results; supports go-live and certifications; identifies automation opportunities.
• Develops competency in engineering methods, Lean tools, and quality standards; coaches on CI/Lean principles and value stream mapping.
• Facilitates Value Stream Maps and Kaizen Events; coaches on lean methods to achieve operational excellence.
• Provides regular data reports and actions to measure progress against site objectives; makes supply chain strategy recommendations.
