Job summary

Ryder System, Inc. seeks a CI Engineer to apply data-driven CI and Lean methods across operations.

The role focuses on transportation modeling, route optimization, and hours of service, while building and maintaining Power BI dashboards and Excel analyses. You will lead cross-functional CI initiatives, map processes, coach teams in Lean principles, and drive improvements in safety, quality, delivery, and cost.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Business, Supply Chain Management, or related field (Required).
• 5+ years of related work experience in Transportation or Supply Chain (Required).
• Transportation Experience Necessary (Transportation Management, Dedicated, FTL, LTL) (Required).
• Microsoft Office Suite with emphasis on Access, Excel and PowerPoint & Visio (Expert).
• Data visualization (PowerBI, Tableau, etc.) and database programming (SQL, DAX, etc.) (Intermediate, Preferred).
• Lean and continuous improvement tools: Value Stream Mapping, Kaizen, PDCA, 5S (Beginner, Required).

Responsibilities

• Collects data and performs statistical analysis; maps and documents processes; identifies gaps and implements CI improvements.
• Manages CI and engineering projects; supports go-live and certifications; interacts with operations management and customers.
• Develops proficiency in engineering methods and Lean tools; coaches others in CI and Lean principles.
• Facilitates Value Stream Maps and Kaizen Events; sustains improvements and tracks progress against site objectives.
