Job summary

Ryder System, Inc. is seeking a Continuous Improvement Engineer to apply data-driven CI, engineering, and automation to improve safety, quality, delivery, and cost across operations. You will interface with employees at all levels and manage CI projects from planning to sustainment.

Responsibilities include data analysis, process mapping, and leading Kaizen events, with a focus on tangible improvements in KPIs. Collaboration with operations and management is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Business, Supply Chain Management, or related field
• 5+ years in Transportation or Supply Chain Industry
• Transportation Experience (Transportation Management, Dedicated, FTL, LTL)
• Microsoft Office Suite with Access, Excel, PowerPoint & Visio (Expert)
• Data visualization and SQL knowledge (Power BI, Tableau, SQL) (Intermediate)

Responsibilities

• Collects data and performs statistical analysis; maps and documents processes; identifies gaps and implements improvements.
• Manages CI projects; supports go-live and certifications; identifies automation opportunities; interacts with operations management.
• Develops and demonstrates competency in engineering methods, Lean tools, and quality standards; coaches teams in CI and Lean principles.
• Facilitates Value Stream Mapping and Kaizen Events; coaches on Lean methods for operational excellence.
• Provides regular data reports to measure progress against site objectives; makes Supply Chain strategy recommendations.
