Ryder System, Inc. seeks a Continuous Improvement Engineer to apply data-driven CI, engineering, and automation to enhance safety, quality, delivery, and cost across the operation.

You will interface with employees at all levels, lead cross-functional CI projects, and support lean transformations, including Kaizen events and value stream mapping. Strong data analysis and communication skills are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, business, supply chain management, or related field.
• 5+ years in transportation or supply chain industry.
• Experience in Transportation Management (TMS, Dedicated, FTL, LTL).
• Advanced Excel, Access, PowerPoint & Visio; Power BI/Tableau for data visualization.
• Lean, PDCA, Value Stream Mapping, Kaizen familiarity.

Responsibilities

• Collects data and performs statistical analysis; maps processes and identifies gaps to drive a thorough CI plan.
• Manages CI and steady-state projects to improve safety, quality, delivery and cost; supports go-live and certifications.
• Develops competency in lean methods and coaches teams in CI practices.
• Facilitates value stream maps and Kaizen events; coaches on lean methods for operational excellence.
• Provides regular data reports and strategic recommendations to improve site performance.
