Job summary

Ryder System, Inc. seeks a Continuous Improvement Engineer to apply data-driven CI, engineering, and automation efforts across operations.

You will lead change initiatives, map processes, and deliver tangible gains in safety, quality, delivery, and cost while interfacing with leadership and shop floor teams. You will use Lean tools to drive root-cause analysis, implement Kaizen events, and coach others in CI and Lean methods.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Business, Supply Chain Management, or related field.
• 5+ years in Transportation or Supply Chain industry.
• Transportation experience (Transportation Management, Dedicated, FTL, LTL).
• MS Office Suite with emphasis on Access, Excel, PowerPoint & Visio (Expert).
• Data visualization (Power BI, Tableau) and database programming (SQL, DAX).
• Lean methods: Value Stream Mapping, Kaizen, PDCA, 5S; Change management.

Responsibilities

• Collects data and performs statistical analysis; maps and documents processes.
• Manages CI projects; supports go-live and steady-state certifications; interfaces with management.
• Develops and demonstrates competency in Lean tools; coaches on CI and Lean principles.
• Facilitates Value Stream Maps and Kaizen Events; sustains improvements across operations.
• Reports progress against site objectives; offers Supply Chain strategy recommendations.
