Job summary

Ryder System, Inc. is seeking a Continuous Improvement Engineer to drive data-driven CI, engineering, and automation across operations. You will identify gaps, map processes, and deliver improvements in safety, quality, delivery, and cost.

You will lead CI projects, coach teams in lean methods, and develop competency in various engineering tools while interfacing with operations management to sustain results.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, business, supply chain management, or related field.
• 5+ years in related work experience in the Transportation or Supply Chain Industry.
• Transportation Experience Necessary (Transportation Management, Dedicated, FTL, LTL).
• Microsoft Office Suite with emphasis on Access, Excel and PowerPoint & Visio. Expert.
• Data visualization (PowerBI, Tableau) and database programming (SQL, DAX).
• Functional Experience in Leader Standard Work, Visual Management Systems, PDCA, VSM, Kaizen, 5S/Workplace Organization.
• Knowledge of Dedicated Services and Managed Transportation Networks; various equipment; tools like JDA, Appian, OTM, Tableau/Power BI.
• Lean Methodology, preferred.
• Supply Chain Logistics Certification, preferred.

• Lead CI projects and support go-live and steady-state certifications.
