Job summary

Ryder System, Inc. is seeking a Continuous Improvement Engineer to apply data-driven CI and lean methods across transportation operations in Lincoln, NE. The role emphasizes data analytics, engineering, and automation to improve safety, quality, delivery, and cost.

You will collaborate with management and operations to drive transformational results. Key requirements include transportation experience, strong Power BI skills, and proficiency in Excel.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, Supply Chain Management, or related field.
5+ years in Transportation or Supply Chain industry.
Transportation experience (Management, Dedicated, FTL/LTL).
Advanced MS Office (Access, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio).
Data visualization (Power BI, Tableau) and SQL knowledge desirable.

Responsibilities

Collects data and performs statistical analysis to identify process gaps.
Manage CI and engineering projects to improve safety, quality, delivery, and cost.
Develop and apply Lean tools and Kaizen methods across operations.
Coach teams in CI and Lean practices and sustain improvements.
Provide regular progress reports and support supply chain strategy.
