Job summary

US Foods is seeking a Transportation Coordinator to support routine transportation and logistics activities from a desk-based role in a US Foods office environment. The position involves answering driver and customer inquiries, updating route information, and generating essential reports using Excel and other systems.

The role requires strong communication, attention to detail, and teamwork. Prior warehouse or transportation experience is preferred, with familiarity in Omnitracs or Kronos being

Qualifications

• Two years of experience in warehouse administrative or clerical position.
• Proficient in written and verbal communication.
• Strong math, analytical and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Answer incoming calls to resolve driver, sales rep, and customer issues; communicate route updates to drivers.
• Use MS Excel and relevant software to create and update reports (attendance, DVIRs, backhaul spreadsheets).
• Assist in damages and shorts process; notify vendors and drivers to resolve issues.
• Coordinate backhaul scheduling; communicate dispatch and service updates.
• Schedule pickup appointments for backhaul orders and vendors.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.
