Job summary

HDR, Inc. is seeking an experienced Alternative Delivery Director-Transportation for our Transportation Business Group.

You will lead pursuit and delivery of major projects, manage contracts, and collaborate with HDR leadership to advance AD initiatives, policy, and risk management across HDR’s national portfolio. In this role, you’ll oversee project approvals, client relationships, teaming agreements, and how HDR staff resources are deployed to maximize value.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in engineering or closely related field.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
• Minimum 10 years of related field experience.
• Experience leading diverse teams and multi-disciplinary groups.
• Experience with large civil infrastructure and alternative delivery.

Responsibilities

• Report to the Project Delivery Program Director and lead pursuit and delivery of Alternative Delivery projects.
• Drive approvals in compliance with HDR policies and risk committees.
• Collaborate with HDR groups on policy, staffing, and contract terms.
• Negotiate terms with HDR Legal and coordinate with Risk Committee inputs.
• Engage Transportation Leadership on contractor relationships and projects.
• Lead recurring leadership calls and maximize HDR matrix collaboration.
• Advise HDR leadership on commercial and technical trends in AD.
• Coordinate with Area Business Group Managers on teaming and subcontracts.
• Travel up to 50% and maintain HDR client relationships.
