Job summary

HDR, Inc. seeks an experienced Alternative Delivery Director for the Transportation Business Group.

You will lead complex, large-scale transportation delivery projects, drive policy-compliant contracting, and coordinate with HDR leadership to advance AD programs across multiple regions. You will guide teams, maintain client relationships, and participate in national organizations to elevate HDR’s profile in the AD market.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a Professional, Architecture, Engineering or closely related field.
• Minimum 10 years of professional engineering experience on large transportation projects, including Alternative Delivery.
• Professional registration (PE) in engineering/architecture.
• Experience leading diverse teams in complex civil infrastructure design and delivery.
• Ability to travel up to 50%.

Responsibilities

• Report directly to the Project Delivery Program Director and manage the pursuit and delivery of Alternative Delivery projects.
• Drive approval processes in compliance with HDR policies and risk committees.
• Coordinate with HDR leadership, legal, and risk groups on contract terms and subcontracting for AD projects.
• Lead collaboration across Transportation Business Group leadership and Regional leads on client discussions and contractor relationships.
• Foster HDR visibility in industry associations and drive continual improvement in AD methods.
