Job summary

HDR, Inc. is seeking an experienced Alternative Delivery Director for the Transportation Business Group. You will lead pursuit and delivery of complex AD projects, driving approvals in line with HDR Policy, and coordinating with legal, risk, and leadership teams to align on contract terms and resources.

You will foster HDR matrix collaboration across areas and regions, manage client relationships, and help elevate HDR’s visibility in infrastructure markets while traveling up to 50% of the time.

Qualifications

• Minimum 15+ years of professional engineering experience that includes responsibility for major transportation projects.
• PE License required and engineering registration in related field.
• Experience leading large teams and multi-disciplinary programs.
• Ability to travel up to 50% of time.
• Experience with design-build or alternative delivery methods preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead pursuit and delivery of Alternative Delivery projects.
• Drive approvals in compliance with HDR policy and procedures.
• Collaborate with HDR leaders on policy, resources, and contracts terms.
• Negotiate teaming agreements and subcontracts with engineering/construction entities.
• Provide strategic guidance on commercial and technical trends.
