Job summary

HDR is seeking a Transmission Section Manager in the Minnesota/Wisconsin area to lead a team of engineers and designers delivering high-quality transmission projects. You will oversee staff, project delivery, and profitability while acting as a hands-on technical leader in a dynamic enterprise.

You will mentor engineers, manage workload, coordinate with other groups, and help grow HDR's Transmission practice through strong client relationships and professional collaboration.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent experience.
• Professional registration, license or certification may be required based on role.
• Strong leadership, communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Take responsibility for the daily operations of the Transmission section, including staff development, project profitability, team morale, and quality control.
• Function as a Project Manager, taking direct responsibility for production and successful delivery on key transmission projects.
• Lead and coordinate technical services with other groups and staff.
• Support local marketing efforts, including strategic planning, proposal development, and interviews.
• Select, train, develop, and manage technical personnel within the section.
• Collaborate with Area and Regional leadership to support local and national marketing and production efforts.
• Implement, monitor, and support company policy and procedures.
• Perform other duties as needed to support the team and our clients.
