Job summary

HDR Engineering invites a Transmission Section Manager to lead the technical execution of high voltage transmission line projects. You will mentor engineers, coordinate scope, schedule and budget, and perform QA/QC per HDR's standards while collaborating with senior engineers and clients.

This role requires a PE license or equivalent, a civil engineering degree, 10+ years of transmission experience, and strong leadership.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
A minimum of 10 years experience.
Professional registration may be required based on role.
Strong communication and listening skills.
Ability to handle multiple assignments.
Good leadership and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

Developing and implementing a project execution plan for the technical aspect of transmission projects.
Mentoring, training, and supervising Project Engineers, EITs, Designers and staff.
Supporting scope, schedule, and budget including proposal development and risk mitigation.
Coordinating QA/QC per HDR’s QMS requirements to deliver world class quality.
Performing quality checks and reviews of projects from other teams as needed.
Participating in project reviews as needed.
Leading multiple projects concurrently with teams in different locations.
Identifying technical expertise and attending training for complex concepts.
