Job summary

HDR is seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead transmission routing and siting projects within HDR’s North Central Region. You will guide buildable solutions, coordinate with utility staff and consultants, and drive regulatory approvals with a focus on quality and client service.

You will manage scope, schedule and budget while mentoring staff and expanding HDR’s practice. HDR supports employee ownership and a national project portfolio.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required or equivalent in a related field.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in linear projects involving land acquisition, routing or environmental planning.
• Minimum 8 years experience writing proposals, scopes of work, budgets and schedules for complex environmental projects.
• Experience preparing applications for submittal to state utility regulatory agencies and system operators.
• Experience providing expert witness testimony.

Responsibilities

• Develop buildable routing and siting solutions for utility infrastructure.
• Lead project teams including utility staff and consultants.
• Engage with stakeholders including regulators and landowners.
• Prepare testimony and technical documentation for line route and site selection.
• Manage project scope, schedule and budget.
• Develop and mentor newer staff to deliver client work.
• Build relationships with HDR and utility staff.
• Travel approximately 10–20% of the time.
