Job summary

HDR Engineering is looking for a Transmission Project Manager/Team Lead in Billings, MT to guide high‑voltage transmission projects from proposal through closeout.

You will build and lead a local team, coordinate with marketing for business development, and ensure quality and on‑time delivery across the project life cycle.

This role requires strong client relationships, risk management, and the ability to align design teams with project goals while maintaining HDR's standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field.
• 7 years related experience.
• Minimum 2 years project management experience.
• Ability to interact with various design teams and communicate effectively.
• Active participation in our employee-owned culture.

Responsibilities

• Manage transmission projects throughout the full life cycle.
• Lead project teams and coordinate with marketing for business development.
• Oversee hiring plans and grow a local transmission team.
• Lead QA/QC processes to deliver world-class quality.
• Mentor and supervise PMs, engineers, and staff.
