Job summary

HDR's Transmission Line Section Manager role seeks an experienced engineer to lead technical execution for high voltage projects up to 500kV in California. You will partner with the PM to drive scope, schedule, and budget while mentoring project engineers and designers.

You will develop execution plans, assign tasks, and strengthen client relationships as HDR grows the Transmission practice. Some travel may be required.

Qualifications

• BS degree in Engineering required; PE license preferred.
• Minimum of 10 years of transmission line experience up to 500kV.
• Professional registration/certification may be required based on role.
• Strong communication and listening skills; ability to manage multiple assignments.
• Leadership and organizational skills; capable of leading teams.

Responsibilities

• Develops a project execution plan for the technical aspect of projects.
• Assigns project tasks and provides technical guidance to team members.
• Participates in client development planning and strengthens client relationships.
• Supports scope, schedule, and budget through proposal development and scheduling.
• Coordinates quality checks per HDR QMS and mentors junior staff.
• May supervise Project Engineers, EITs, or CAD designers; lead multiple projects.
