Job summary

WSP USA is seeking a Transmission Line Project Engineer to join our Power Delivery Team. This role offers flexible work arrangements, with the option to work remotely or from an office.

You will provide technical leadership for planning, design, and delivery of high‑voltage overhead transmission lines up to 765 kV, coordinate with clients, manage schedules, and mentor staff while upholding QA/QC and safety standards. Travel to client sites as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering is required.
• 5-7 years of transmission field experience with project design/management and leading multi-disciplinary teams.
• Professional Engineering (PE) licensure is required.
• Understanding of the NESC, RUS, and/or GO-95.
• Strong knowledge of transmission line fundamentals and PLS-CADD.
• Strong English communication skills (written and spoken).
• Experience with Microsoft Office suite.
• Commitment to safety and company policies.

Responsibilities

• Lead engineering of transmission projects up to 765kV.
• Develop initial project execution layouts and schedules.
• Create and maintain project schedules.
• Lead and participate in weekly/bi-weekly project meetings with clear deliverables.
• Coordinate with clients on project status and meetings.
• Maintain project workflow and cross-disciplinary communication.
• Forecast project requirements for resource planning.
• Adhere to QA/QC procedures and safety standards.
• Contribute to staff mentorship and knowledge transfer.
• Travel to client offices/field/vendor facilities as needed.
