Job summary

WSP USA is seeking a Transmission Line Project Engineer to join our Power Delivery Team. The role offers a flexible work arrangement with the option to work remotely or from our offices across the Pacific region.

Preferred locations include Reno, NV; Las Vegas, NV; San Diego, CA; Phoenix, AZ; Honolulu, HI; Seattle, WA. You will provide technical leadership for planning, design, and delivery of high‑voltage overhead transmission projects, lead teams, manage schedules, and coordinate with clients

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Engineering is required.
PE licensure is preferred or required where applicable.
5–7 years’ experience in transmission projects and leading multi-disciplinary teams.
Strong knowledge of NESC, RUS, and/or GO-95.
Proficient in PLS-CADD and transmission line fundamentals.
Excellent written and spoken English communication.
Experience with Microsoft Office suite.

Responsibilities

Lead the engineering of transmission projects up to 765kV.
Develop initial project execution layouts and establish efficient project plans.
Create and maintain project schedules and lead status meetings.
Coordinate with clients on project status and deliverables.
Maintain cross-disciplinary workflow and effective communication across projects.
Support QA/QC procedures and industry standards compliance.
Participate in client meetings and travel to field/client sites as needed.
Mentor staff and support business development efforts.
