Job summary

WSP USA seeks a Transmission Line Project Engineer to join the Power Delivery Team. Flexible work arrangement with remote option and offices across the Pacific region, including Phoenix, AZ.

You will provide technical leadership for planning, design, and delivery of high‑voltage overhead projects up to 765kV, coordinating across multidisciplinary teams and ensuring quality and safety standards. Strong PLC-CADD, field experience, and client interaction are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering.
• 5-7 years in the transmission field of designing/managing projects and leading multi-disciplinary teams.
• Professional Engineer (PE) licensure.
• Understanding of the NESC, RUS, and/or GO-95.
• Strong understanding of transmission line fundamentals and PLS-CADD operation.
• Strong command of the English language with good written and oral communication skills.
• Experience using the Microsoft Office software suite.
• Proven track record of upholding workplace safety and adherence to policies.

Responsibilities

• Lead and execute the engineering of transmission projects up to 765kV.
• Lead or support the initial project execution layout for an efficient project plan.
• Create and maintain a project schedule.
• Lead weekly or bi-weekly project meetings with clear deliverables.
• Coordinate with clients on project status and meetings.
• Maintain project workflow across multi-disciplinary teams.
• Forecast upcoming project requirements for resource planning.
• Adhere to QA/QC procedures.
• Engage in knowledge transfer through conferences and internal/external events.
• Demonstrate transmission line design expertise (PLS-CADD, structures, foundations, drawings, loading).
• Lead project teams of varying sizes.
• Travel to client offices/field/vendor facilities as needed.
• Support PM with scope, schedule, budget, and client meetings.
