Job summary

HDR is seeking a Transmission Line Project Engineer to join our Power Delivery team across multiple preferred locations, including Bend, Portland, Seattle, and Salem. The role focuses on creating conceptual and detailed designs for high-voltage transmission lines, coordinating with stakeholders and guiding junior staff.

Ideal candidates hold a B.E./B.S. in engineering and a PE license, with 4+ years in transmission line engineering, proficiency in PLS-CADD, AutoCAD, Revit, and related tools.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering is required.
• PE license is required.
• Experience with transmission line design software and codes is preferred.
• 5+ years in power delivery or renewables.
• Strong communication with stakeholders is essential.

Responsibilities

• Prepare technical deliverables for transmission line design using PLS-CADD and foundation design tools.
• Coordinate construction release packages and Bill of Materials.
• Mentor junior team members and ensure quality reviews.
• Lead design reviews with clients and participate in stakeholder meetings.
• Develop project manhours estimates and schedules.
