Sargent & Lundy is seeking an Associate Intern for its Grid business unit in Chicago. You will work on project teams, supporting senior engineers on transmission and distribution projects and contribute to design calculations and documentation.

Hybrid work arrangement with three days in office and two remote days. Target start date in summer 2027; pursuing BS/MS in Civil, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering with strong academics is required.

Competenze

• Active enrollment in a BS or MS in Civil, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering with a strong academic background.
• Candidates pursuing other engineering degrees may be considered with relevant coursework in civil, geotechnical, strength of materials, statics, or electrical power.
• Strong organizational skills with high attention to detail.
• Self-starter, proactive, able to work independently with minimal direction.
• Ability to quickly identify and prioritize issues, create solutions, and meet deadlines.

Mansioni

• Assist in the preparation of engineering calculations, specifications, and designs.
• Work on project reporting, tracking progress and data.
• Be involved in power designs and preparation of documents for procurement of major equipment and services.
