Job summary

United Grid Solutions in Florida is seeking a transmission line engineer to provide design, engineering, and technical oversight for electric power delivery projects, including renewable interconnections and grid modernization.

You will lead discipline work, support proposals and cost estimating, mentor junior engineers, and coordinate with customers, contractors, and internal teams to deliver safe, cost-effective solutions on schedule. On-site focus with travel as needed.

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited engineering degree required.
• Bachelor of Science in Civil/Structural or Electrical Engineering.
• 2+ years electrical utility transmission line design experience at 69kV+.
• Knowledge of transmission-line design components and materials.
• Experience with bill of materials and construction documentation.

Responsibilities

• Provide engineering guidance for problem analysis and solution.
• Plan, estimate, schedule, and monitor work activities.
• Produce technical reports, calculations, and sketches.
• Support proposal development and project cost estimating.
• Mentor designers and liaise with clients and internal teams.
