Job summary

United Grid Solutions seeks a transmission line design engineer to lead electrical utility projects, deliver safe and cost-effective designs, and provide technical direction for renewables interconnections and grid modernization.

The role requires a B.S. in engineering (ABET-accredited) and 5+ years in transmission line design; a PE license is preferred. You will supervise junior staff, manage budgets, and coordinate with clients and other disciplines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering ( Civil/Structural or Electrical).
• ABET-accredited engineering degree.
• 5+ years of electrical utility Transmission Line design experience (69kV+)
• Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide engineering/technical guidance for problem analysis and resolution.
• Plan, estimate, schedule, and monitor work activities.
• Prepare technical reports, calculations, and sketches with accuracy.
• Mentor junior staff and coordinate with other disciplines and clients.
• Support proposals, cost estimating, and project delivery within budget and schedule.
