Job summary

United Grid Solutions is seeking a transmission line design engineer to support a design team delivering safe, cost-effective solutions. You will guide technical problem solving for high-voltage lines and renewable interconnections, while contributing to proposals and cost estimating.

You should have a bachelor’s in engineering (ABET-accredited preferred) and 1–3 years in electrical transmission. Proficiency with PLS-CADD/PLS_POLE is expected.

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited engineering degree required.
• Bachelor's in Engineering or closely related field.
• 1–3 years of electrical power delivery experience.
• EIT preferred; PE license advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Provide engineering guidance for transmission line design and problem solving.
• Plan, estimate, schedule, and monitor work activities.
• Prepare technical reports, calculations, and sketches.
• Support client interactions and maintain project relationships.
• Ensure drawings, BOMs, and specs meet client needs and budgets.
