Job summary

Socket.dev seeks an experienced transmission line engineer to lead design and deliver safe, cost-effective solutions for power delivery projects in Florida. You will oversee project teams, perform responsible charge engineering duties, and guide technical direction across lines, substations, and renewable interconnections.

The role requires 8–10 years in electrical utility transmission line design, a PE license, and ABET-accredited education.

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited engineering degree required.
• 8–10 years of electrical utility transmission line design experience.
• Registered Professional Engineer with NCEES.
• Ability to lead discipline work and manage schedules and budgets.
• Strong communication and report-writing skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide engineering/technical guidance for problem identification, analysis, and resolution.
• Plan, organize, estimate, schedule, and monitor work activities.
• Prepare thorough technical reports, correspondence, calculations, and sketches.
• Develop and maintain professional relationships with customers.
• Support proposal development and project cost estimating.
