Job summary

United Grid Solutions seeks a transmission line design engineer to lead the design and technical direction for power delivery projects. You will coordinate with internal teams, prepare reports, and ensure quality and timely delivery of design packages.

Requirements include a 4–6 year engineering background in electrical power delivery, ABET-accredited degree, and PE is preferred. Expect collaboration with clients and support for proposals and cost estimating.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Civil/Structural or Electrical).
• ABET-accredited program.
• 5–7 years in electrical utility transmission line design.

Responsibilities

• Provide engineering guidance and problem resolution for transmission line projects.
• Plan, estimate, schedule, and monitor work activities.
• Prepare thorough technical reports, calculations, and sketches.
• Lead design packages and ensure delivery to client on time and within budget.
• Oversee junior staff and mentor designers/drafters.
• Support proposals and project cost estimating.
