Job summary

United Grid Solutions seeks a transmission line engineer to provide design, engineering, technical support, and oversight for a team delivering safe, cost-effective engineering and design services. Lead discipline work, perform responsible charge duties, and manage project schedules and budgets.

You will also support proposals and cost estimating, interact with customers, and help advance renewable interconnections and grid modernization initiatives.

Qualifications

Bachelor of Science in Civil / Structural or Electrical Engineering.
Registered Professional Engineer with NCEES record.
5+ years of electrical utility Transmission Line design experience (69kV+).
ABET-accredited engineering degree and PE license preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide engineering/technical guidance to identify, analyze, and resolve problems.
Plan, estimate, schedule, and monitor work activities for transmission projects.
Prepare technical reports, calculations, and design sketches with high quality.
Oversee junior staff and mentor designers/drafters on transmission line tasks.
Coordinate with customers and internal teams; manage proposals and costs.
