Job summary

United Grid Solutions is seeking a Transmission Line Engineer to design, engineer, provide technical support, and oversee a team delivering safe, cost-effective projects. You will guide complex engineering problems for transmission lines, including renewable interconnections and grid modernization, and eventually lead discipline work on projects while managing schedules and budgets.

The role requires a Bachelor's in Engineering (ABET-accredited) and 2+ years in electrical utility transmission

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (ABET-accredited).
• 2+ years electrical utility Transmission Line design experience (69kV+).
• Knowledge of transmission line components, foundations, grounding, sag & tension, permits, survey.
• Total installed cost estimating and contract documents experience.
• Familiar with NESC, ASCE, ACI and IEEE.

Responsibilities

• Provide engineering guidance for problem identification and resolution.
• Plan, estimate, schedule, and monitor work activities.
• Prepare technical reports, calculations, and sketches with accuracy.
• Improve professional knowledge and performance.
• Communicate effectively orally and in writing.
• Create transmission line drawing packages and support client needs.
• Interact with customers' engineers and maintain professional relationships.
• Monitor deliverables and present solutions to clients.
• Support project managers with proposals, cost estimates, and schedules.
