Job summary

United Grid Solutions seeks a senior transmission design engineer to lead engineering and design activities for power delivery projects, including renewable interconnections and grid modernization.

The role requires 5–7 years of electrical utility transmission line experience, a Civil/Structural or Electrical Engineering degree, ABET accreditation, and a PE license is preferred. You will mentor staff, manage schedules and budgets, and support proposals and cost estimates.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Civil/Structural or Electrical Engineering.
• ABET-accredited program.
• 5–7 years of electrical utility transmission line design experience (69 kV+).
• PE license preferred (NCEES).

Responsibilities

• Provide engineering expertise and guidance on transmission line problems.
• Plan, organize, estimate, schedule, and monitor work activities.
• Prepare thorough technical reports, calculations and sketches.
• Interact with clients and maintain professional relationships.
• Coordinate staff and assist project managers with proposals and contracts.
• Support design needs of permitting activities and cost estimating.
