Job summary

United Grid Solutions seeks an experienced transmission line design engineer to lead a design team on high‑voltage projects, including renewable interconnections and grid modernization. You will mentor junior staff, coordinate with clients, and deliver complete design packages on time and within budget.

The role requires a BS in Civil/Structural or Electrical Eng, ABET accreditation, 5+ years in electrical utility transmission design (69kV+), and a PE license preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Civil / Structural or Electrical Engineering.
• Registered Professional Engineer with NCEES record.
• 5+ years of electrical utility Transmission Line design experience (69kV+) and HV transmission line design knowledge.
• Knowledgeable in all aspects of Transmission Line utility design including layout, components, foundation, grounding, sag and tension.

Responsibilities

• Provide engineering expertise and guidance to resolve problems.
• Plan, estimate, schedule, and monitor work activities.
• Prepare technical reports, calculations, and sketches.
• Mentor junior staff and coordinate with stakeholders.
• Visit sites and modify designs during construction.
• Assist PM with proposals and contracts.
