Job summary

United Grid Solutions seeks an experienced transmission line design engineer to provide technical direction and oversight for a team delivering safe, cost-effective engineering and design services. The role includes leadership of discipline work, project scheduling, budgeting, and support for proposals and cost estimating.

The candidate will collaborate with customers and internal engineers, develop robust design packages, and contribute to grid modernization initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering from a four-year college or university.
• ABET-accredited engineering degree.
• 1-3 years of electrical utility transmission design experience (69 kV+).

Responsibilities

• Provide engineering guidance for transmission line problems and design.
• Plan, estimate, schedule, and monitor work activities.
• Prepare thorough technical reports, calculations, and sketches.
• Mentor designers and collaborate with multiple design disciplines.
• Interact with clients and deliver on-time, within budget.
• Assist proposals and cost estimating as needed.
