Job summary

United Grid Solutions seeks a Transmission Engineer to provide design, engineering, and technical support for high-voltage line projects. You will guide the team, draft drawings, and manage schedules and budgets while supporting proposals and cost estimating.

The role requires an engineering degree (ABET-accredited) and 1–3 years in electrical utility transmission. Strong communication and project coordination are essential.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years as an engineer with the electrical industry in power delivery.
• ABET-accredited engineering degree required.
• Familiar with transmission line design concepts at 69kV and higher.
• Understanding of bill of materials and complete design packages.
• Knowledge of NESC, ASCE, ACI and IEEE standards.

Responsibilities

• Provide engineering expertise and guidance on transmission line problems.
• Plan, estimate, schedule, and monitor work activities.
• Produce technical reports, calculations, and sketches.
• Drive continuous improvement in technical knowledge and performance.
• Communicate effectively, both orally and in writing with clients.
• Develop and maintain customer relationships and monitor deliverables.
