Job summary

United Grid Solutions seeks an experienced transmission engineering leader to guide a design team and deliver safe, cost-effective engineering for utility-scale transmission lines and renewable interconnections.

You will oversee technical direction, project scheduling, budgets, and client interactions while supporting proposal efforts and cost estimating. ABET-accredited degree and PE license required, with 8–10 years in electrical utility transmission line design.

Qualifications

• 8–10 years of electrical utility transmission line design experience.
• Registered Professional Engineer (PE) with NCEES.
• Experience delivering high voltage transmission line design (69kV+).
• Knowledge of design packages, BOMs, drawings, and specifications.

Responsibilities

• Provide engineering expertise and guidance on problems.
• Plan, estimate, schedule, and monitor work activities.
• Produce technical reports, calculations, and sketches.
• Lead junior staff and mentor designers/drafters.
• Coordinate with clients and other disciplines; manage proposals and contracts.
