Job summary

United Grid Solutions is seeking a seasoned transmission engineering professional to lead design, engineering, and oversight for high-voltage transmission line projects, including renewable interconnections and grid modernization. You will mentor junior staff, manage schedules and budgets, and support proposals and cost estimates.

Experience: ABET-accredited engineering degree, 8–10 years in electrical utility transmission line design (69 kV+), and a PE license.

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited engineering degree required.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
• 8–10 years of electrical utility transmission line design experience at 69 kV and higher.
• Ability to lead and mentor junior engineers and drafters.
• Strong client interaction and proposal support experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide engineering guidance for transmission line problems and design issues.
• Plan, estimate, schedule, and monitor engineering work activities.
• Prepare accurate technical reports, calculations, and drawings.
• Maintain and improve engineering knowledge and performance.
• Communicate effectively with clients and internal teams.
• Oversee work of junior staff and coordinate with other disciplines.
