Job summary

HDR is seeking a Transmission EPC Principal to drive pursuit leadership within our Power Delivery Practice. You will coordinate with HDR's global power staff and partners, leading risk analysis, design, and cost estimation for high‑voltage EPC projects up to 500 kV and beyond.

The role requires strong leadership, FEED development, and collaboration across multiple disciplines, including environmental, real estate, GIS, and construction. Up to 20% travel may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Civil and/or Mechanical Engineering.
• Professional Engineering license required.
• Experience leading EPC projects and managing multiple remote teams.
• PMI/PMP or equivalent project management credentials are preferred.
• Strong knowledge of transmission line design, procurement and construction.

Responsibilities

• Serve as Pursuit Champion/Manager on Transmission EPC projects.
• Lead scope, schedule and budget development for AD projects.
• Coordinate with land survey, geotechnical, GIS and environmental teams.
• Interface with contractors and subconsultants on risk mitigation.
• Develop FEED templates, standards and design bases for EPC pursuits.
