Job summary

HDR is seeking a national Transmission EPC Principal within our Power Delivery Practice to drive pursuit leadership and transition projects from pursuit to execution. You will collaborate with HDR’s staff and partners to manage scope, schedule and budget for AD projects.

The role requires strong engineering, leadership, and risk-management skills, plus experience with EPC design and construction packages and up to 20% travel.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Civil and/or Mechanical Engineering.
• Professional Engineering license.
• Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in transmission design.
• Minimum 5 years leading EPC engineering teams.

Responsibilities

• Serve as Pursuit Champion on Transmission EPC projects and transition to execution.
• Lead risk analysis, preliminary routing, design and BOM takeoff support.
• Develop scope, schedule and budget for AD projects with various partners.
• Interface with contractors and subconsultants on risk and mitigations.
• Assist in Go/No-Go discussions, proposals and negotiations.
