Job summary

WeDriveU in Phoenix, AZ is seeking a Safety Manager to develop, oversee, and enforce safety compliance for its transit program. The Safety Manager will strategically oversee all areas of safety and compliance with respect to DOT/OSHA/CAL-OSHA regulations and prepare our workforce for our client’s needs.

Responsibilities include designing training programs for transportation personnel, supervising driver trainers, conducting ongoing evaluations, and maintaining a drug/alcohol testing program.

Qualifications

• Minimum five years of recent experience managing paratransit safety/training programs or similar
• Supervisory experience preferred; experience supervising/training a driver workforce
• Must complete company certification program

Responsibilities

• Lead, design, develop and implement training programs for transportation personnel
• Supervise driver trainers and establish objectives and schedules
• Administer and maintain drug/alcohol testing programs and pre-employment testing
• Develop and conduct Driver Safety Meetings and on-scene incident investigations
• Investigate safety issues and respond to customer service concerns relating to safety
